Rates
Mixing rates:
1 or 2 songs
$300 (add $50 if you want it mastered)
Groupings of songs (EPs and Albums)
$225 a song (add $25 for mastering)
This is all up for discussion, but let’s say an EP will probably cost you $750-1000ish and an album will probably cost you $1500-2500ish after it’s all said and done.
Mastering rates:
1 song $75 a song
Groupings of songs
EPs $45 a song
LPs $35 a song
Again this is all up for discussion, and you can expect an ep to be around $200-250 and an lp to be around $400 for a digital master
Additional formatting for vinyl is around $150-250 depending on the project length
Additional formatting for cassette is around $35
Tracking Engineer:
$45 hour
Day rate $350 (If you want to do multiple days I can work with you to make it work out)
Noise Removal and Audio Restoration
$50 hour $100 minimum
Documentary mixes would be a flat fee and discussed based on the material provided.
I would like to note that these are rough estimates as to how much it will cost. I would hear and discuss the body of work with you to come up with an accurate estimate to the price of the work. IE: some LPs have only a few songs, and some EPs have 12 songs. Some projects are delivered very organized and easy to navigate while some are not. Some recordings are great and others need more work to get them there. All of these things affect the amount of time spent and therefore the price.
Example an album delivered for mastering that has the same recording and mix across the whole thing and 12 songs may take less time to do than an EP that has 4 songs but all recordings and mixes are different etc...
